Announcement of Congress

Over the 20th century, the IARF organised a congress of its members every four years. The venue was allotted cyclically through our four major regions - East Asia, South Asia, North America, Europe/Middle East. The theme was dependent upon critical issues of the day.

The forthcoming 33rd World Congress is the third congress of this 21st century.

It will be held in Kochi (Cochin), capital of the south Indian state of Kerala, from 4th to 7th September, 2010.

The theme will be announced shortly. Registration will be available from the end of September.

JLC visit to Kochi

A group from IARF's Japan Liaison Committee (JLC) visited Kochi from 16th-19th February 09 to view the venue and meet with eminent religious personages of Kochi.

One highlight was an audience with Cardinal Mar Varkey Vithayathil, serving as the Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in India.
